34 days after terrible car crash, Nigerian singer Djinee shares recovery photos

                    Over a month after singer, Djinee was involved in a car accident in Lekki, Lagos. The singer has now shared photos of his recovery process.According to him,  'PoP off my leg. Physiotherapy starts in a few days. Wish me well. It has been a battle and it hasn't ended yet. God has been gracious to me.          I'll try to show you as much as I can on my journey to walking again. We will celebrate every little progress as I've learnt to do for the past 34 days. For example, when I regained sight on my left eye. When I had my first pee naturally after the first 2weeks. When I could finally sleep on my sides and stomach and not just on my back facing up like I did for 2weeks and many other seemingly little tasks that became mountainous after my accident.           God bless you all for your best wishes and concern. God bless you'.

Linda Ikeji, President Buhari, Davido top Google Nigeria search list for the last 10 years

                                         As part of celebrations for their 20th anniversary, Google released the list of top 10 prominent Nigerians who have topped the Google search list for the past decade and Linda Ikeji, President Buhari, Davido and others made the cut.           According to the Country Manager for Nigeria Juliet Ehimuan-Chiazor, “search is a very different product from what it was in 1998. Far from simply being a way to find information, it has become a crucial social and economic tool. Silence is golden – Nigerians react after Wizkid’s babymama Shola comments on Davido’s post

     Wizkid’s first babymama, Oluwanishola Ogudugu, also commented on the post by throwing a shade at the father of her son.This did not go down well with many Nigerians. Wizkid’s babymama,  Oluwanishola Ogudugu, broke the internet recently after she shared details on how the singer neglected his responsibilities as a father.       For the most part, she seemed to have the support of many Nigerians, who took to shading the father of her child on her behalf. However, the goodwill she got from some Nigerians seems to have ended after the mother of one commented on an Instagram post of music star, Davido.        The mother of Wizkid’s first child, Oluwanishola, took to commenting under the post to throw shade at the Starboy.Her comment was seen as distasteful by some people and they took to bashing her. A social media user even advised her that silence is golden and she should desist from shading the father of her child.

      Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admits he does not know when injury-plagued French international full-back Benjamin Mendy will be back in action after he suffered a metatarsal injury.Mendy, who missed nine months last season after requiring surgery on a knee ligament injury, is believed to have suffered the injury in training after returning from international duty with France at the start of the month.        He has missed City’s last two games, the win over Fulham and a disappointing Champions League group-stage defeat at home by French outfit Lyon in which Fabian Delph played poorly in his left-back position. Nigerian music doing badly on global scene – Odejide

    To promote Nigerian culture and music, plans have been concluded for the debut edition of BlackMusic Awards billed to take place on December 1.Speaking about the awards ceremony, the convener, Fehintoluwa Odejide, said the county’s representation on the global stage could be bigger if things were done properly.        According to her, the youth who see music as an escape route don’t have good role models and do not have adequate knowledge of history as well as their culture. She added, “I started my journey into music 27 years ago as a choir girl. Later, I studied Music Tech at the Polytechnic of Ibadan and Music Arts at the Obafemi Awolowo University. My passion goes beyond the classroom. The media at a time were not interested in quality sounds. That era swept futuristic music away. Bamigboye, first military governor of Kwara, dies at 78

      The first military governor of Kwara, retired Brig.-Gen. David Bamigboye, confirmed  dead.The younger brother to the deceased, retired Col. Theophilus Bamigboye,confirmed the death to the News Agency of Nigeria  on Friday on the telephone.           He said the late military governor died on Friday during a brief illness in Lagos. Th e deceased was born on December 7, 1940, and was the first military governor of Kwara between May 1967  and  July 1975.           He was credited with establishing  the Kwara State Polytechnic in 1972.

Wizkid leads A-list acts in Glo-Accra mega show

                 Nigerian international  star, Wizkid (Ayodeji Balogun) will lead top music stars to thrill guests at the fourth edition of Glo Mega Shows at the Fantasy Dome Trade Fair Centre, La, Accra, Ghana, this Saturday.         Other artistes that will perform alongside the Star Boy are Emmanuel Andrews Samini; dancehall master, Stonebwoy; Afro-Pop diva, Yemi Alade, and Nigerian singer, song writer and producer, Tekno, popularly called Alhaji. Others are Ghanaian R’nB artiste, MzVee, Tanzania’s Diamond Platinumz and Kofi Kinaata, the Fante rap king.       The Glo Mega Shows began on Sunday, August 12, with a comedy event, Laffta Fest, followed by the mega music on Saturday, August 25, while the third event, also featured a comedy show on Sunday, September 9.
