Do You Think Olamide Deserves Any Award This Year?

Let’s take a deep look backwards at 2017 when Olamide dropped some massive hit songs, “Wo“, “Update“, “Wavy Level” to mention but few.

He rounded up the year 2017 with his 17 track “Lagos Nawa” album which gained massive acceptance amidst condemnation by some music critics.

No doubt, Olamide worked hard in 2017 but it seems the whole buzz around Wizkid and Davidolast year made all his effort go almost unrecognized.

While Wizkid and Davido were winning big at almost every award event last year, Olamide had no choice than to watch. Although, he was lucky to win at the NEA and Sound City MVP awards.

We won’t forget to remind you that Olamide also lost on all grounds at the Headies Award held earlier this year.

This year 2018, Olamide started on a very good note with songs like “Science Students” but his latest releases such as “Motigbana“, “Criteria” and the likes are still very much weak in terms of acceptance amidst music lovers in Nigeria.

As it stands now, it’s still not clear whether or not Olamide deserves any award nominations or wins this year.
